Use Cases

Shopigent Payments works for any store that needs flexible payment terms — but it's especially powerful for these scenarios.

🪑 Made-to-Order Furniture

The problem: A customer orders a custom oak table for $2,000. The wood must be ordered and the workshop needs to start building — but the shop has no payment until delivery.

The solution: Set up a 50% deposit plan for the "Custom Furniture" collection.

How it works:

  1. Customer orders → rule engine matches the collection → 50% deposit required
  2. Customer receives a Stripe link and pays $1,000 upfront
  3. Shop orders materials and starts building — no cash flow gap
  4. When the table ships, the remaining $1,000 is auto-charged

Result: No manual invoices, no chasing payments, and the workshop gets paid for materials upfront.

👟 Pre-Order Campaign

The problem: A streetwear brand is launching a limited-edition sneaker for $250. They need to gauge demand AND collect working capital before production.

The solution: Create a pre-order plan with a $50 deposit.

How it works:

  1. 500 customers place pre-orders
  2. Each pays $50 now → brand collects $25,000 in deposits
  3. When sneakers land in the warehouse, each customer's remaining $200 is auto-charged
  4. Orders are fulfilled immediately — no waiting for payment

Result: Production is funded by deposits, not loans. Customers secure their pair. Win-win.

🌟 VIP Deferred Payments

The problem: A boutique wants to offer their best customers more flexible payment terms — but only for VIPs, not for everyone.

The solution: A deferred plan with 3 installments, gated by a customer tag rule.

How it works:

  1. Customer is tagged "vip" in Shopify
  2. Orders over $500 trigger the deferred plan: deposit + 2 installments
  3. First installment charged at checkout
  4. Remaining two installments auto-charged 30 and 60 days later

Result: VIP customers feel valued. The boutique keeps control — only VIPs get the deferred option.

🎨 Commission Artwork

The problem: An artist takes custom portrait commissions at $800. New clients are nervous about paying $800 upfront, and the artist doesn't want to start work without commitment.

The solution: The AI engine (MODE B) suggests a 25% deposit for orders over $500.

How it works:

  1. Client orders a portrait → no specific rule matches
  2. AI suggests: 25% deposit ($200) + 75% on delivery ($600) — confidence 60%
  3. Artist reviews the suggestion and clicks Approve
  4. Client pays $200 to reserve their slot
  5. Remaining $600 charged when the portrait is ready

Result: Low-commitment entry for clients, guaranteed payment for artists. AI handles the suggestion — artist just clicks approve.

🏺 Restock Pre-Orders

The problem: A ceramics studio sells out of their popular mugs ($45 each). Customers want to know when they're back — but the studio can't afford to produce more without knowing demand.

The solution: A 100% deposit pre-order plan.

How it works:

  1. Studio activates the pre-order plan for the "Mugs" collection
  2. Customers pre-order and pay $45 in full
  3. Studio knows exact demand — fires the kiln for exactly the right quantity
  4. When fired and cooled, orders are fulfilled — no overproduction, no waste

Result: Zero inventory risk. Every mug produced is already sold and paid for.
